We believe that the governance of the public chain is essential to reconcile different interest groups in the ecology to reduce internal friction. This internal friction, sometimes a difference in the development direction of the public chain, needs to be eliminated through revolutionary iterations of the code. And sometimes it is a difference within the community, which requires continuous optimization of the community governance model and consensus through communication.

Community committee governance mechanisms
If “MeerClub” is an exclusive privilege for loyal users, then “Community Committee” is the full decentralization of governance authority of Qitmeer Network, achieving true on-chain decentralization.
The “Community Committee” is an off-chain governance organization initiated by the core operation team of Qitmeer Network and established based on community members. The organization is completely neutral, and any Qitmeer Network member can use direct or indirect means to put forward their own constructive opinions. All opinions will be respected, whether passed or not, so that every participant can pass it, convert their views into standard executable motions, and make the entire chain healthier.
This governance method is also different from the previous one. The new governance function will become a “direct democracy” model in which every participant can vote. Changes on the Qitmeer Network chain or community suggestions can be publicized in the community through the standard proposal process, and users can vote with Meer Coin to achieve the purpose of “everyone can govern” while increasing the governance value of MEER, which is also the functional basis of “community co-governance” in a deeper sense.
The detailed construction rules and specific implementation plan have been initially drafted by the team. It is expected that the formal plan content will be communicated to everyone soon.
