MeerEVM is coming soon! Staking will halt locking new funds at the mainHeight 910,000
The “Qitmeer Majority Game” will be closed on the mainHeight 910,000 (around August 13th), and no new funds will be accepted.
MeerEVM launch requirements
Qitmeer Network is based on the MeerDAG consensus-driven UTXO ledger model. The upgraded QNG network will be compatible with the Account model and transactions are constantly switching and reversing between the two different data models, making the network complexness significantly higher.
Block height snapshot and revenue distribution
MeerEVM will be launched by end of August to lock user status, reduce the complexity of related contract implementations, and ensure ledger security until then.
The “Qitmeer Majority Game” will be closed on the mainHeight 910,000 (around August 13th) and no new funds will be accepted. A snapshot of the data will be taken at mainHeight (910,000). Users who wish to continue to participate in the lock-up should complete the lock-up before mainHeight (910,000). Funds injected into the lock pool after mainHeight (910,000) will not gain any incentives and will even result in loss of assets, so please be cautious.
All funds participating in the lock-up before the snapshot height will continue to enjoy the base income of the original 11th and 12th periods and have the same fund weighting, so the base incentive afterwards will be shared equally by the lock-up pool.
In the tenth period, the lock-up staking rate exceeded 50% and received the highest standard of base incentive. In the calculation of earnings for the next two periods, the incentive will also be based on the highest standard of staking rate reaching 50%. Since there will be no additional lock-ups, no further competitive incentive will be generated thereafter.
Staking payout schedule
When MeerEVM is launched on Genesis, all Meer principal and Staking incentives will be injected into the MeerEVM contract pool through Genesis. Payouts will be made through smart contracts after the end of the “Qitmeer Majority Game” in Umayyad 2.0, so stay tuned for official information.
