Qitmeer Network Genesis Mapping Release Update
To our dearest Qitmeer Network community,
Thank you for your support and trust in Qitmeer Network. We are pleased to announce that we are about to implement the Ultimate Mapping Release Plan, which marks an important step towards the era of autonomy - the Umayyad 3.0 era.
The total amount of Meer in the Umayyad 1.0 Genesis Mapping was 42,108,530, of which 8,762,785 Meer (20.81%) have already been allocated. The remaining 33,345,744 Meer will be released all at once in the upcoming plan. The implementation of the Umayyad 3.0 era will push the network toward a decentralized direction, achieving a fairer and more democratic network governance.
As a public blockchain accounting system, the UTXO and EVM ledgers of Qitmeer Network jointly record a total of 4,807,961 transaction data (since the launch of the mainnet, one year and seven months ago). More importantly, it carries the earnest expectations and firm beliefs of every participant from the Mekka era to the Medina era. It is these precious historical accumulations that have established the solid "foundation" for the network's creation and robust development. We appreciate every trusted participant! Qitmeer Network is not only a MeerDAG consensus-driven POW network but also a community-driven "consensus" network constructed by each participant.
To record this milestone event and welcome the vibrant and broader Umayyad 3.0 era, we have decided to adjust the technical solution of the release plan. The original plan was to implement this function through the KAHF wallet (front-end). Considering that the QNG network is currently undergoing upgrades and improvements, involving the consensus issues of the UTXO and EVM ledgers and data interaction risks, we have decided to implement the plan by upgrading the underlying protocol (back-end). We hope to ensure user asset security and stable network operation while simultaneously addressing the overall synchronization efficiency issue of the network to enhance its robustness and lay the foundation for a good network state in Umayyad 3.0.
The release plan is expected to be completed at the end of May or the beginning of June. Given the recent instability of the network, we will increase the frequency and period of testing for network security and bug detection to ensure that the network is secure and stable enough before entering Umayyad 3.0. The release plan will be completed no later than the beginning of June. We kindly ask for your understanding and patience.
After entering Umayyad 3.0, we will continue to make large-scale improvements and upgrades to the main network, improve the performance and security of core modules, enhance the mainnet's functionality, and enrich and improve developer tools to increase the network's scalability and speed up the development of its ecosystem. This will help promote the development and growth of Qitmeer Network and enhance its competitiveness in the blockchain industry.
