Qitmeer Network Node Upgrade Related Issues Announcement

We apologize for the inconvenience and concerns caused to you during the recent node version upgrade process. We have always been committed to providing better technology and services, and always prioritize the interests of our users.
We are constantly striving to solve the problems that arise during the upgrade process. Here, we would like to briefly introduce our work progress and plans to you.
We released a new node version qng-1.0.20+release on April 11th, aiming to improve network synchronization efficiency and fix known vulnerabilities. However, we regret to find that during the upgrade process, there may be issues with mempool synchronization and reduced P2P network connections between different nodes, resulting in an unstable consensus. Our technical team quickly conducted an investigation and found that some mining pool nodes have data consensus issues, which may threaten the stability of the entire network.
To maintain the stable operation of the main network and ensure the release of new versions, we have coordinated with the mining pool and node operators to implement the following temporary solutions:
1. We coordinate with the mining pool to use a single mining pool node to reduce the number of nodes that generate blocks and avoid unstable consensus.
2. We will conduct strict testing and troubleshooting of the operating environment of the mining pool nodes to identify and eliminate environmental issues.
3. In the testing network environment, we will test the new node version, focusing on P2P module optimization, and observe the stability under a single block node model.
4. To improve synchronization and stability, we will increase the number of nodes generating blocks and synchronization, while continuously monitoring their stability.
5. We will also revise the GBT template and test the operational performance of the block EVM.
6. We will organize a large-scale mining pool public testing to ensure the release of the qng-1.0.21+release version through sufficient testing.
After all testing is completed, we will release a new version of qng-1.0.21+release and upgrade the main network node.
Before officially upgrading to the qng-1.0.21+release version, we will manually resolve all transaction issues caused by synchronization exceptions on the chain. This may cause inconvenience to users and we apologize for this.
At present, we have been running steadily for over 48 hours, and both the main network block and synchronization are normal. The P2P pressure load testing of the test network has also been completed. The test results show that the load is stable, and the blocking and synchronization are normal. We will continue to maintain the current stable operating state to ensure the normal operation of the network.
Planning for the next two weeks:
1. Complete the testing and release of the new node version qng-1.0.21+release, and upgrade the main network node.
2. Strictly test and troubleshoot the operating environment of the mining pool nodes to identify and eliminate environmental issues.
3. Increase the number of nodes that generate blocks and synchronize, while continuously monitoring their stability.
