Qitmeer Network Transitions to QNG Network
Dear Qitmeer community users, Qitmeer Umayyad 1.0 network will start to be officially upgraded to the QNG network on August 27, 2022. It is expected that it will last one week. At that time, meeevm will be launched synchronously. Thus Qitmeer network will officially become a high-performance public blockchain compatible with EVM and start the development of smart contract application ecosystem.
MeerEVM Launch Notes
Trading will be suspended during the upgrade
The MeerEVM launch is based on upgrading the main Qitmeer network to the QNG network first, which requires the cooperation of all node operators such as mining pools, miners, wallets, and exchanges to upgrade the node version. During the upgrade, the network will be suspended for a short period, and wallets and exchanges will need to suspend the transfer function in advance. For the safety of your assets and to avoid data confusion, please suspend on-chain transfers and transactions immediately.
To ensure the smooth implementation of the network upgrade, operators of mining pools, mines, exchanges, and wallets are requested to suspend transfer and other related services from 12:00 noon BST on August 27, 2022 (5:00 am London time on August 27, 8:00 am Dubai time on August 27) and prepare to upgrade their nodes to the QNG version. Services and transfers will be resumed until September 2, 2022, at 12:00 p.m., when the network upgrade is complete and the blocks are stable. Developers who wish to build applications on Qitmeer Network can deploy contracts on testnet or QNG network and open business scenarios.
