QNG NETWORK Transition is completed and MeerEVM activated!
Congratulations to Qitmeer Network for the successful transition to the QNG network at the blockchain height 950916 (order=1056136) and activating MeerEVM at blockchain height 951100!
About the QNG Network Upgrade
As of 2022–08–27 12:01:31 BST (27th 5:01:31 London time, 27th 8:01:31 Dubai time), the qitmeer-0.10 version of the network has stopped generating new data and block 1056136 (mainHeight=950916) is the last valid block. After that, the data is generated by the QNG (Qitmeer Next Generation) network. Qitmeer is now officially in the QNG network and is working fine, please download the qng-1.0.15 release to join the network.

About MeerEVM Genesis
The MeerEVM feature has been officially activated and launched on the mainnet at the height of 951100 (order=1056320). Due to the compatibility of the QNG version, this upgrade inherited the block data from Qitmeer Umayyad 1.0 and directly transitioned to the QNG network, so this creation is mainly focused on the release of the related system contract and the writing of the Staking related data into the MeerEVM creation status.
All the Staking assets and Staking incentive pool assets have been created in MeerEVM and will be released via smart contracts later. The total amount of Staked Meers is 9228012.74285398 and the total amount of incentive pool is 12159120 Meers, all the Staking detailed consensus results have been written to the creation state, which can be used as the verification source for the Staking release contract later.
About mapping release adjustment
During this upgrade, the release rules of the mapped assets have been slightly adjusted. For the part (about 20%) originally released in Umayyad 1.0, the release rules will remain unchanged and will continue to be released to the height of 1080000; for the remaining unreleased part (about 80%), it will be unlocked on the MeerEVM at the mainnet height 1200000, details of the release will be given at that time.
Note
The upgrade work has been basically completed, the network out of the block is normal, and MeerEVM functions normally, to ensure security we still need to continue observing for a time being, if there are no undesired outputs and bugs, the network will gradually resume the normal service on September 2, 2022.
In addition, the QNG test network TestNet has also been launched simultaneously, with the same protocol and has high performance as the main Qitmeer network, but provides a sandbox environment isolated from the mainnet, so that developers can test their new ideas on TestNet, and also deploy smart contracts on TestNet first, and then deploy them to the main network after modification and perfection to reduce unnecessary Token consumption.
